Hi,

I'm Erin Schaaf and welcome to Studio ES. I am a licensed cosmetologist and owner of a quiet, cozy, private home salon.

I graduated from the Traverse City Beauty College in September 2020. I then gained experience behind the chair at Salon Verve in Traverse City from November 2020 to October 2022. I strive to stay up to date with the latest hair styles and trends by taking continuing education. A day doesn't go by without some education on perfecting my craft. I am also passionate about educating and providing clean beauty products to clients through my partnership with Holistic Hair Tribe by Simply Organic Beauty.

I found my passion in the beauty industry later on in my professional life. I graduated from Northwood University with my Bachelors of Business Administration in Banking and Finance in May 2001. I began my career with Auto-Owners Insurance Company as an entry-level underwriter. Over my 18-year career with Auto-Owners, I held multiple positions and responsibilities throughout the company and worked my way up through the ranks to become the Training Coordinator for the Traverse City Regional Underwriting Branch.

I met the man of my dreams in January 2008 and we have been happily married for 12 years. We have two sons, Winston and William. We moved from the Lansing area to Kingsley in May of 2014 and the four of us have made a beautiful life here in northern Michigan.

In the spring of 2019 and after much soul searching, I resigned from Auto-Owners. I left the conventional norms that I was raised to believe to begin a new career. With a lot of hard work, sacrifices, support from my family and friends, and faith in myself, I have finally ventured out on my own as an independent hair stylist and owner of a small studio salon. I now have the flexibility to be there for the last couple of years before the boys go off to college and to do what I love.

I want to give a shout out to my husband Zach. Without the love, support, and truly believing in me, this life we have built would not be possible. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
